Lucas Lasnier — known as PARBO — is a Buenos Aires-based graphic designer and visual artist. Born in Mar del Plata, he belongs to a generation of Argentine artists who pushed art and design well beyond the walls of galleries and commercial spaces.
His practice in public art began in 2001, when he started experimenting with letter-based graffiti and stencil — becoming one of the early figures of the street art movement in Argentina. Over time, his work evolved toward large-scale murals, shaped by graphic design, character culture, and a deep interest in realistic portraiture and installations.
In 2002, he founded Kid Gaucho, a multidisciplinary collective for experimental and commissioned work, installations, and commercial projects. Rooted in comics, American Pop Surrealism, skateboarding, and heavy metal culture, Parbo has painted murals across South America, Mexico, Europe, and the United States — and has been invited to give talks and workshops throughout Latin America.
In 2020, he co-founded La Cima, a studio and art space in Villa Crespo dedicated to printmaking, calligraphy, and experimental practices. La Cima hosts workshops, exhibitions, and events, and has become an active part of Buenos Aires' creative scene.
His work has appeared in Trace Magazine, Juxtapoz, Booooooom, and Hi-Fructose, among others.
